No Sugar Granola

(makes 12 cups = 36 (1/3 c.) servings
4 c. regular oats and 2 c. rolled wheat
OR 6 c. of 6-grain rolled grains
1 c. unprocessed wheat bran
1 c. whole wheat flour
½ c. nonfat dry milk, non-instant
½ tsp. salt
½ -1 c. raw sunflower seeds
1-2 c. slivered almonds
12 oz. frozen apple juice concentrate,
thawed
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. chopped dried apples
2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add vanilla to apple juice concentrate in the can.
Pour over dry ingredients and stir until well mixed. Spread mixture on a 2 large baking
sheets. Place on two racks in a 200 degree oven for 1-1/2 hours. Stir and rotate pans
between racks every 20-30 minutes. Bake until granola is golden and almost dry. Store in
an airtight container. Serve as a cold cereal, snack, or on yogurt.
(I just use what ingredients I have, for example 7 cups oats for first 2 ingredients, omit stuff I don’t want, etc.)
