1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon soda
1 cup flour
1 cup quick oats
1 cup semisweet or milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup peanut butter
2 to 4 tablespoons milk
Cream together butter, sugar and brown sugar. Mix in the egg, peanut butter, salt, vanilla and soda until well blended. Stir in flour and oats. Mix all ingredients together well. Spread in a greased and floured 9x13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes, or until lightly browned. Take care not to overcook. Melt chocolate chips and spread evenly over cookie mixture. Combine powdered sugar, peanut butter and milk until the consistency of thin icing. Drizzle over cookie mixture. Let cool and cut into 2- X 1-inch bars.

Mmm, these always remind me of school lunch. That and tater-tots.
So is that a good thing? These were so yummy I couldn't stop eating them.
do you save your tater-tots and peanut butter bars in your pocket like Napoleon, isaac?
